Her Net installation works were commissioned and permanently collected by Walker Art Center (Bowling Alley, 1995), NTT[ICC],Tokyo (Buy One Get One, 1997) and the Guggenheim Museum (Brandon, 1998-1999). Her recent work includes I.K.U. (scifi digi porn, Tokyo 2000), Baby Play (NTT[ICC], Tokyo 2001), DRIVE BY DINING (Browserday, Amsterdam 2002). Her current projects include St(r)eaming the fields in New York and Theatrum Digitalis for WaagSociety, Amsterdam.

Shu Lea Cheang, self styled digital normadic artist will discuss interface building in social/mobile/wireless networks and present St(r)eaming the fields, her recent project for New York City. With an "after the crash" scenario, the project trades roadside farm market for wireless urban nodes using organic garlic as "credito", a self prescribed social currency.

Die nomadische Medienkünstlerin Shu Lea Cheang wird über die Bildung von Schnittstellen zwischen sozialen, mobilen und drahtlosen Netzwerken sprechen und ihre derzeitige Arbeit für New York City: St(r)eaming the fields, präsentieren. Als ein "after the crash" Szenarium, werden bei diesem Projekt an Straßenmärkten drahtlose urbane Netzwerkknoten gehandelt, Knoblauch dient dabei als "credito" (eine selbsternannte soziale Währung).
